October Resources: Cloth Diapers, Books, And More
Mother-Ease Cloth Training Pants
I am a long-time fan of Mother-Ease diapers and cloth diapers in general. We have used them almost exclusively for both of our boys, which I wrote more about a while back. Now that our boys are (mostly) out of diapers, the Mother-Ease training pants are a very nice way to stay in cloth without the constant stream of peed-in pants that we very commonly go through.
I have only owned two other pairs of training pants and I have to say that the Mother-Ease is by far my favorite brand. They are soft and comfortable and far more absorbent than any other training pants that I have used. They are also light-weight enough to still encourage the little ones to make it to the potty in time.
Thoughtful Harvest Pasta Sauce
Have you ever heard of Harvest Eating, the website created by Chef Keith Snow to help you make seasonal cooking easy? I’ve been a subscriber for a while, merely for the great seasonal recipes and videos. Well, Chef Snow has started a line of products under the name "Thoughtful Harvest". One of his products is handcrafted pasta sauces and we recently received a jar of the roasted red pepper to try.
I almost always promote make-it-yourself over purchasing, as does Chef Snow’s Harvest Eating Cookbook, which I also enjoyed. But if you are going to purchase a pasta sauce I have to say this is the best tasting, most carefully prepared sauce we have ever had. When I opened it I took a taste straight from the jar and literally said "wow, that’s good." The papa aid "It tastes like homemade!" Two thumbs up.
