Giveaway: Water Kefir, Milk Kefir, & Your Choice of Culture Starters
I don’t believe that everyone can eat the same thing and be healthy. I don’t believe that everyone needs the same ratio of carbs to fat to carbohydrates. I just think that every body has unique needs based on nationality and previous history.
The one thing I think is universal is that everyone can benefit from fermented foods. You can eat yogurt, milk kefir, water kefir, kombucha, sourdough bread, raw cheese, or lacto-fermented vegetables. In every case, the culturing process seems to take whatever nutrients are in that food to begin with to a whole new level of nourishment.
So today I am excited to give away a few culture starters that can help you turn good foods into great nourishment. Cultures for Health is giving one reader a starter for milk kefir, water kefir and your choice of:
- Yogurt Starter. Choose a mesophilic or thermophilic culture and start making raw milk yogurt.
- Sourdough Starter.
- Kombucha Starter
- Buttermilk Starter.

I entered the give away! I have been wanting to start doing/brewing/making (not sure what the correct verb is) water kefir. I have been brewing my own kombucha for a while but one of my kids won’t touch it. I think water kefir might suit his palate a bit more but I haven’t tried it yet… here’s hoping I win! I am glad I stumbled across your blog; what a wonderful resource!
Just entered! I’m currently trying to grow my own kombucha SCOBY, but would love a sourdough starter!

I’m entered and looking forward to maybe trying some water kefir! I’m not positive that dairy agrees with our digestive system. Does anyone know if cultured raw milk products are still ok for someone who may have an IgG reaction to milk? I’m so intrigued by raw milk, but wary of trying something that may cause problems…..
hope i’m not too late! cultures for health is a great company, i’ve ordered from them in the past.
