Spring Postcards
Today is the last day to take advantage of the free cookbook offer. If you’re looking for whole grain gluten-free baked goods free from gums, starches, rice flour, and dairy, get your free copy today as a bonus for purchasing my newly released book, Traditional Meals for the Frugal Family.
This is truly one of the most lovely times of the year here in Texas and one which I enjoy immensely. I remember when we planted a few pots of veggies in our very first apartment. They probably died, I don’t remember for sure, but I was hooked and every spring since, no matter where we’ve lived, if the soil is workable I start getting that itch to dig in the dirt.
Lord willing, I hope to have a few more detailed updates for you on the gardens, the animals, and the homestead in general. For now, though, I thought I’d just share a few pictures. We are on a sort of spring break from school this week and I am realizing how little time and energy I have left over for blogging when school is a part of our every day.
Even so, I have really come to love homeschooling over the past couple of years, especially with five students doing everything from learning to draw straight lines to finding square roots. It keeps me on my toes all day, especially when various animal and toddler antics are thrown in the mix, but it is wonderful.
For now, I’m going to get back to spring cleaning and planting some more seeds and getting the meat bird run ready so we can get those chicks out on grass.
What is springing up in your neck of the woods?
